Your Call

The call you received from the Prophet said: “You will be an official representative of the Church.  As such, you will be expected to maintain the highest standards of conduct and appearance by keeping the commandments, living the mission rules, and following the counsel of your Mission President. “

Obedience

True disciples of Jesus Christ are obedient. The Savior taught, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Keeping the commandments means that you willingly and faithfully do what the Lord asks because you love Him and also that you do so with “joyfulness” (Colossians 1:11) and “gladness and singleness of heart” (Acs 2:25).

God invites you to dedicate yourself to Him throughout your life. Mission standards such as personal study, goal setting, and the righteous use of technology will bless you on your mission and help you for the rest of your life.

We invite you to read, study, and discuss the Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ with your parents. Experience has proven that missionaries practicing exact obedience to the rules have a much more successful, satisfying and spiritual mission. Be that kind of missionary!
